We came here per the suggestion of locals and got the bowl noodles. We got one dry and one wet to compare the difference. The service was fast and their restaurant is clean and full of locals. The flavors was also is typical what you expect.

Our island hopping adventure kicked off with a bang at Sam Sato's! This gem of a restaurant is famous for its mouthwatering dry noodles, delectable Manju, and irresistible BBQ sticks. We couldn't resist and ordered the dry noodles with a savory beef stick and a tantalizing Portuguese sausage omelet. Every bite was a flavor explosion that left us craving more! The fantastic service made our experience even better, and we felt great supporting a local favorite. It was the perfect way to kickstart our thrilling adventure!

A must go to for Hawaiian Comfort food! I think about my Grandma C who worked at the original restaurant in Puunene! Amazing family that has run this restaurant for many generations!

I was told that this was a place to go to when you're in Maui! I loved the yakitori chicken! The skin was cooked SO GOOD and it was reminded me of when get duck by how it looked. I went with a group and we did family style. We got the super dry saimin that had more toppings then the regular dry saimin and then we got the won ton min and that was good too! I like a lot of noodles and I like veggies and other fixings. Atmosphere - It is busy and it has that classic, local feeling place where people go to hang out and catch up on life. Service - Service was good, fast, and attentive! Cost - $12 - $16 depending on what you get, we did family style so you can try more and less costs. We did have left overs of both the won ton min AND saimin so we could have done one less dish :). Parking - They have their own lot that maybe fits around 8 cars so be aware of that. I don't recall if there is street parking, there might be. Location - It's in this industrial/business ish kind of area. At first, I was like where is this restaurant, in a warehouse? HAHA. They had pastries and manju (which we didn't try but someone did recommend to try it). I would definitely come here again!

Been waiting for years since my last Maui trip to visit here. They seem to always be consistently busy with lots of locals frequenting here. If you're a carb fiend, this is the place for you. The dry mein noodles don't pack too much flavor itself, but adding soy sauce always helps. The soup broth side is light and just savory enough to keep you wanting more. The yakitori chicken unexpectedly reminded me of a Chinese style bbq chicken. Hard pass on the chow fun noodles; incredibly bland and no wok seared flavor. Overall prices were affordable which makes it worthwhile for a visit or takeout.
